If you’re not particularly tech savvy yet the thought of using a smartphone can be a bit scary. It doesn’t however mean that a smartphone is not for you. The iPhone is the most popular mobile brand of the 21st century. Just because you’re looking for a simple mobile it does not mean that you need to miss out on what the iPhone can offer. Apple is well known for its simple but elegant user interface which makes it effortless to use. The iPhone comes with the many accessibility features available such as text resizing, colour changes, mono audio and subtitles.
If you aren’t very dexterous then you can also enable AssistiveTouch which makes the touchscreen easier to use. If you like you also have thousands of apps, you can choose to download from the Apple app store such as WhatsApp or Facebook. The iPhone SE is one of the smaller iPhones so is comfortable to hold.

Moto G8 (power lite)
This mobile is a fantastic option as it is fairly cheap for a smartphone but has a lovely large screen making it easier to use and features three rear cameras. One of its key selling points is its battery life, so if you may not always be remembering to charge your phone this is a good option as it only needs changing about every two days. It also features a rear fingerprint scanner to access the hope so if you may be forgetful of your pin code this is also an added benefit. You can definitely tell that it is a cheaper phone trying to be middle of the range due to its features and screen quality but if you are looking for a budget smartphone which is simple to use this may be one to consider.

If you’re looking for a flashy smartphone this is definitely not one however, due to it not having all the fancy features it is very usable. This is a smartphone which has been designed with simplicity in mind. It even has the added feature of a dedicated assistance button on the back which can be set up to call which ever number you choose when the need arises.
Although it isn’t a flashy phone you can still download apps from the Google Play Store as it runs on an Android operating system. The interface is big, bold and easy to navigate with a very straightforward setup process. On the front of the phone, it also has a return, home and recent apps button which are helpful.

This Nokia is a fantastic option if you’re looking for both great accessibility and you’re wanting to explore the full potential a smartphone has.
This smartphone operates on Android Go which is a much simpler version of the normal Android operating system stripping it back to basics.
Android Go makes many of the most popular apps such as YouTube, Google Maps and Facebook much simpler. Due to them being simplified versions of the app they also take up much less space which is why they can be used on cheaper mobiles such as this Nokia. If you’re new to smartphones but also want to be able to enjoy what they can offer without being too complicated this is a fantastic option.
The mobile does have limited storage capacity which means you won’t be able to download lots of apps but there is the possibility of expanding the storage by buying a microSD up to 400GB. If you are looking for a mobile which is great for poorer vision, there is the ability to change font size and use text to speech apps. It is quite a small phone which is well built and should be able to survive the occasional drop.

Google pixel 4a
If you’re looking for a simple smartphone which has a large screen (5.8in Full HD) this is a great option. Like other mobile it uses the Android GO operating system which is a simplified version of the normal Android operating system. This makes it much easier to use especially when you are yet to familiarise yourself with a smartphone.
Although this is a fantastic phone it is not the cheapest. It is though packed with lots of top-end features and has superb internal specifications which explains the price tag. If you’re unsure of technology this may not be for you but it is great for anyone who’s ready to jump into the technological world but slightly simplified.
