Best mobile deals to access your favourite PayTV channels?

If you want to make the most of your mobile subscription have you thought about how you can access PayTV channels as part of your mobile subscription? A number of the mobile operators have interesting packages to allow you to continue to watch your favourite TV services on the move.

Netflix

Three UK has some interesting offers around the latest Samsung devices.  On eligible devices Three credits your account with an amount to pay for 1 year’s worth of Netflix standard service (other basic and premium options are available).  If you are a new customer, you will receive details soon after your contact starts to direct you to the promotion. You will need to create a separate Netflix account and can use the credit to buy the service.

Sky Sports Mobile TV

Vodafone allows you to subscribe to Sky Sports Mobile TV Pack 1 if you subscribe to a Red entertainment plan. This includes Sky Sports Premier League, Sky Sports Action, Sky Sports Arena, Sky Sports News and Sky News channels. For an extra £5 you can subscribe to Sky Sports Pack 2 which includes Sky Sports Football, Sky Sports Golf, Sky Sports cricket and Sky Sports F1. Once you are on the relevant plan you should receive a text message from Vodafone to allow you to sign up for the service.

Amazon Prime

Vodafone allows you to subscribe to Amazon Prime if you subscribe to a Red entertainment plan. Once you are on the relevant plan you should receive a text message from Vodafone to allow you to sign up for the service.

TV Now

Vodafone allows you to subscribe to TV Now if you subscribe to a Red entertainment plan. Once you are on the relevant plan you should receive a text message from Vodafone to allow you to sign up for the service.

BT Sports

If you are an EE customer you can sign up to receive BT sports via the BT Sports app for 3 months for free after which it becomes a chargeable service. You can enjoy exclusive Premier League Games, UEFA Champions league and Emirates FA cup as well as other exclusive football content. If football is not your thing, you will find major tennis tournaments, BT Fight Night Live, MotoGP race days, Rugby union and much more. £5 per month for access to the app and another £10 if you want to cast it to your TV with all data included. It is worth knowing that BT and EE are now part of the same Group.

SkyTV

If you are a Sky TV subscriber you can watch your TV services on the go with SkyGo?. As we wrote in our blog {LINK} as a SkyTV subscriber, if you do decide for a Sky mobile package as well you receive unlimited text and voice for up to 5 mobile phones.

Want to watch your mobile TV subscription on large screen?

You can, in principle, watch your mobile TV service on your TV.  Technically very possible. If you try it and find it does not work the limitation might be set by digital rights management.

Android

Those of you using Android should think about purchasing a Google Chromecast and plugging it into your TV. You should be able to throw the picture onto your TV.

IOS

Those of you using Apple and on iOS should consider Apple TV which can be plugged into your existing TV. You can share your screen between your IPhone or IPad.

 

Other TV services

Some other nifty packages which might help you make the most of your mobile subscription are: Binge from Three if you are either on the Mobile advanced plan or SIM only advanced plans over 12GB which allows you Binge on Netflix and TVPlayer as this does not affect your data allowance. As part of Vodafone Extra you can buy a Vodafone Video Pass for £9.00 per month which gives you unlimited data to consume TV services including Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, DisneyLife, My5, TV Player and UKTV player. They don’t count towards your data allowance.
